CHALLENGE~31 FANTASY

CHALLENGE 30 ~ BUTTONS & BRADS

We had some fabulous stripes thank you to everyone who joined in challenge 29

Now to this weeks challenge

I seem to be stuck in a flowery period, could be that Spring has finally sprung here in France

and the garden is awash with Daffodils, Crocus and Primroses

This week we have chosen Buttons and Brads, I love both of these as embellishments,they are so easy to use

You can use Buttons and Brads or just one or the other, we dont mind

For the blue tag card I wanted to use blue spotty buttons but found I had used them all so I found some plain and then using a sakura white pen did my own thing on them

I have been making this little bags so I can fill them with tiny Easter Eggs, I found this paper

tucked away it looks and feels like leather, I outlined the tag with silver peel offs

CHALLENGE 27 ~ Love is in the Air / Valentine

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in with our first challenge of the year, we had some gorgeous makes and all so different, ATC's from Beryl, Maritza and Ann, a lovely card from Liz, a beautiful box from Daisychain and a some lovely keyrings from Sarah it was so nice to see such an array of differnt creations
So we are almost half way through January already does'nt time fly
Valentines Day is a special day, a day to celebrate love, the most beautiful feeling in the world
I always leave things to the last minute so I thought this theme might help us all get organised for a change
Something a little different


This is a project I am working on at the moment, it is a calender made from old cd's found in a lovely little book called "Get Round with Heartwarming Vintage " I have almost completed the set, each cd has a month on the back and front so only 6 cd's are needed, I shall show all when finished

CHALLENGE 26~ Small is Beautiful

Well I thought we would start of with creations that are small

I love ATC's I also love Tags so I have put together

A Tag, An ATC, and a 4"x4" Card

For the Tag I cut the shape which was just an oblong and then cut a boat shape for the top

I covered both parts with Vellum,added an eyelet and tassle and then found a ready made topper

For my ATC I printed 2 different sheets of backing papers and the image all from TEENTASTIQUE CD7 from http://www.ooh-la-la-creations.com/

ATC Artist Trading Cards are individual art miniatures which pass hand to hand, the only rule for these cards is their 2.5 by 3.5 inch size (64 x 89 mm),First, an ATC mustn't be sold, only exchanged, as the whole essence of these tiny works of art is about artists meeting (by correspondence or online if need be) and exchanging their works, thus meeting many artists and getting exposed to many personal styles. Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information, title of the ATC and number (1/8, 2/8...) if it's part of an edition. By definition ATCs are made in limited numbers, often no more than one of a kind. Unique ATCs are called originals; sets of identical ATCs are called editions and are numbered; sets of ATCs that are based on one theme but that are different are called series.

I covered the base card with the first backing paper and tore a strip from the second paper and used an ink pad to colour the edge,attached this to ATC,wrapped some black velvet ribbon across the strip and added a flower and some gems

Mounted the Image and added punched corners and brads

And last but not least a 4"x4" Collage card
