Hi! My name is Kevin, I've been card making for about 6 years now, I started card making when I had to pack up work due to ill health.  My wife got me started and I've never looked back and being blind in one eye has not stopped me, it just takes me a bit longer to produce my finished cards.

I loved the way the die cuts were used to enhance the gorgeous image and provide such depth to the design, and the fact that this card could be used for any winter occasion, not just Christmas.

Good Morning All!
Alli here, well only two more sleeps left until Christmas day.  I hope you are all organised and have some spare time for a bit of crafting either before or after the big day is upon us.  I know we are probably all Christmas carded out right now, but what about all those other Winter occasions, Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings, Anniversaries.  This is what this challenge is all about, any project that has a winter theme to it, and whilst Christmas is not excluded I'd love to see how you use all those lovely Winter themes to celebrate other occasions.  Scroll down to see the fabulous inspirational designs from the lovely ladies of the DT.

Challenge #145
Different Use of a Doily

Doilies are really popular in the crafting world right now and I can definitely see why; they really add a little something extra to a project, especially vintage-style projects. Of course you can use them as is, but I want to challenge you to think outside the box a little bit and alter your doily. Cut it, stamp it, colour it, emboss it, fold it, do whatever you feel, as long as you don't use the doily straight out of the packet! The DT girls have incorporated fantastic ideas in their project to share with and inspire you. I'm curious to see where your creativity will lead you :)

Ooh La La Creations are looking for a new DT Member.

Our challenges run every two weeks and you will be expected to take part in each one, along with some commenting.

The DT term will run from 1 January till 30 June 2014.

During your DT term you will receive a selection of Ooh La La Creations CDs in addition to any new releases.

Challenge #144

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all.

It's Anne here again and I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted on Ooh La La Creations.  I have to say a very big thank you to Wendi and Emma for asking me back and also a very big thank you to Dawn who took over from me when I had my crafty meltdown.  I'm over all that now and loving being back in the craft room.

I hope you are all getting organised for the big day next month and that your Christmas card box is filling up. It's amazing how quickly it seems to have come round.

We are having a DT call (see sticky post at top of blog) as Dawn has left our happy little band of crafters to have more time with her happy little band of family.  Enjoy spending more time with them Dawn and we all look forward to seeing you take part in our challenge when time allows and, of course, we'll keep in touch in Blogland.

Thank you so much everyone for all your stunning entries to the sewing challenge.  It is such a cliche, but my goodness it was hard to pick a Top 3.  It took me most of the afternoon to narrow it down to 6!  I found it so hard and tried to concentrate on those where the stitching really added to the creation.

Maya - A totally adorable Christmas card.  I love the colour combi she has used.  The inside is just as amazing as the front and when I read that she has just bought the coolest sewing maching ever, which she used so effectively on her card, well that really won me over.

Hello again everyone and Happy Monday to you all.

Time once again for a new challenge at Ooh La La.
Before we get on to the winners and new challenge I would just like to say that this will be my last post for Ooh La La Creations.
The time has come for me to hand over the reigns back to the lovely Anne, thank you Anne for coming back and picking up where you left off.  I can leave now knowing that things will carry on as normal.
There comes a time in all our lives when we have to look at how our priorities have changed and that is what I have had to do.  I have had a ball being here at Ooh La La and I want to say a huge big thank you to Wendi and Emma for having faith in me.  I am going to miss you all terribly but I just can't fit everything in any more, there just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things I need to do.
Right, enough jibber jabber, let's get down to business.
