Hi peeps!  I can't believe that summer's nearly over, the nights are beginning to draw in, the leaves are turning on the trees and we still haven't had good weather!!!  

Thanks to the girlies who joined in with our challenge of Oriental.  It wasn't one of our most popular themes but those who entered certainly gave me a hard time as it was my turn to pick the Top 3.

Challenge #111

Hi everyone!  Hope you are all enjoying watching the Olympics but still manage to squeeze in a little crafting time.  It's amazing that it's August already and the kids (here in Scotland) will be returning to school in another week.  The summer seems to have disappeared so quickly.  The DT have had great fun looking through all the wonderful designs for our Recipe challenge and Dawn found it very difficult making her choice for the Top 3 this week.

Firstly a big thank you to Kevin for being our Guest Designer last month.  It was lovely to have some male input and of course using his beautiful designs.  Kevin has kindly said he would like to GD for us again and we will certainly be taking him up on his offer so watch this space!

Now on to our Guest Designer for August.  We have the lovely Pauline from Crafting with Cotnob with us. 

Hi, my name is Pauline and I live in Hampshire with my wonderful husband Paul and two gorgeous sons, Matt (16) a budding musician and Laurence (14) who knows everything there is to know about pop music. Oh! and I mustn't forget the chickens, Annie and Clarabelle. I am relatively new to card making, I have been doing it for about two years now. I also enjoy making jewellery and home furnishings. I grow fruit and veg in a large greenhouse and on an allotment. I have created my blog to share my love of crafting and to enter challenges.

Lots of new things this week.  Firstly a big thank you to Edna for being our Guest Designer during June.  It was a pleasure to work with you and your designs were absolutely stunning.  See you around in blogland!

We have to say goodbye to Pat too.  Unfortunately due to other commitments, Pat wasn't able to stay on with our Design Team.  We'll miss you hun but big thanks from us all for your wonderfully inspiring designs.  We will all be keeping in touch in blogland, and we'd love to see you joining in with our challenges when you have time.   Our 3 new DT girls are showcasing their first designs with us this week.

My name is Kevin, ive been card making for about 5 years now, I started card making when i had to pack up work due to ill health, my wife got me started and ive never looked back, being blind in one eye has not stopped me, it just takes me a bit longer to produce my finished cards.

New DT Members

Hi folks!  That's us into July now and time for a slight change in our DT.  We have been very lucky that Daniele, Lizy, Lorraine and Wendy have agreed to stay on with us permanently.  Thank you girls!

We have three new teamies who will be with us until the end of December.  We are all looking forward to working with them and hope they will enjoy their time with us.

I am now a stay at home mum for my gorgeous little boy James, who is fast becoming a little baby genius as well as a little terror. I worked for years in customer support management but gave it all up for a bit to look after my little lad. Now I make cards for fun but am still a novice. Blog hopping gives me inspiration for that next project :)

My name is Lisbeth and I live in Rost in Norway. I like all kinds of crafts and hobbies, but keep mostly to handmade cards and scrapbooks. I have two little children aged  9 and 10 years.

I'm married with one son who is at University studying music. Having always loved colouring and making things since childhood I decided to have a go at making cards. I was inspired by the many beautiful cards I found on various web sites, favouring alot of the american styles and techniques.
