Challenge is now closed
Hi everyone! I guess acetate isn't that popular as not many people took up our last challenge. Let's hope this one is more to everyone's taste!
Anyway, before we get onto the challenge, get yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy our post as we've a fair bit to tell you this time.
As we said last time, Dawn has now joined us as a fully fledged member of our Design Team. We welcome her with open arms as her designs are stunning. Here's a little bit about Dawn -
I am 49 years of age and married to my best friend Graham for the last 25 years. I have one daughter who will be 21 in March. I have been crafting ever since my daughter was born starting with cross stitch but rapidly moved on to card making. My style has changed sooo much over the years and has changed even more since I started blogging. I owe my blog life to my bestest crafting buddy Ali, aka Dragonlady who insisted I give blogging a try and boy am I glad she convinced me!! I work full time at the local hospital in Clinical Trials and I love my job. I have two cats called Breezer and Smudge - one's a complete lady and the other is a total tomboy. I love Formula 1, Moto GP and am an avid Manchester United supporter although I do like watching Chelsea play too (my daughter's team). Can't wait for the World Cup and will watch as much as I can although obviously it will have to fit in around my crafting.
Another announcement this time is that
Beryl has joined us as our Guest Designer for March and April. Check out her blog to see her wonderful creations. Lucky Beryl has been visiting her daughter over the weekend and they were off to the SECC in Glasgow to the Craft Show. I can't wait to hear what she's bought and to see what she creates with her new stash! Here's a little bio about Beryl -
Hi, my name is Beryl and am delighted to have been invited to be Guest Designer for March and April. I have been card making for almost 7 years now and, like most of us, have been crafting one way or another all my life. One morning I was channel hopping through the Sky shopping channels, which is something I rarely did. I ended up on Create and Craft, there was a man on from The English Stamp Company, and I watched him heat emboss a stamped image with silver embossing powder. I was blown away and thought 'I could do that' and the rest is history. I hope you like my designs during the next couple of months and that you all have fun.
Ooh La La Creations have just launched their new CD. It is a wonderful collection of watercolours by Lorna Archer including scenes of villages, bridges, farm houses, French chateaux, castles, boats and rivers from many places that Lorna has visited throughout England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France.
There are 850+ printable sheets, costs £15.99 and p&p is free
Please take a few minutes to browse through PictureTrail on the sidebar to see some of the stunning designs made using the new CD
You still with me? good, now we can get onto the challenge for this fortnight :
Challenge #49 - Anything Goes + chance to win
Wendi & Emma (OLL's owners) have kindly donated a £20 gift voucher and by taking part in this challenge you will automatically be entered into the draw and one lucky winner will be picked at random by the random picky thing. Entries close at 6pm GMT on Sunday 21 March and the winner will be announced when the next challenge is posted.
To join in the challenge, please post your design onto your blog with a link to our challenge and leave a comment on our blog with a link directly to your work. If you don't have a blog that's not a problem, just email your project to the address at the top of the page. You can combine our challenge with any others you wish. It's not essential that you use an OLL product on your creation but of course we are delighted if you do. If you don't have any OLL designs and would like to try them out, check out the
March freebies. Good luck and enjoy crafting!
