Challenge #46

Hi one and all. All the festivities are well past now and everything is back to 'normal', whatever that is! Thanks to all who joined in our last challenge and we look forward to seeing you again this time.

Our challenge this fortnight is something that takes me out of my comfort zone but I did enjoy doing it so you may well see me using this technique again.

Challenge #46 - Distressing

To join in the challenge, please post your design onto your blog with a link to our challenge and leave us a comment with a link to your work. If you don't have a blog please email your project to me at the address on the sidebar. You can combine our challenge with any others you wish. It is not essential that you use an OLL product on your creation but of course we love it if you do.

If you don't have any OLL designs there are some lovely freebies in the shop for you to try before you buy. Wendi and Emma also have a new CD coming out soon and there are some sneak previews on Wendi's blog. From what I've seen it looks like another showstopper.

Last and by no means least, we will be inviting a challenger to be our new guest designer for March/April chosen from the entries from this, and the next, challenge. Get your mojo working ladies - you could be our next GD.

Challenge #45

Happy New Year! Everyone at OLL hopes that 2010 will be happy, healthy and prosperous for you and you will try to join us as often as time permits. The challenge this fortnight is :

Challenge #45 - Create a Scene

which I think is quite apt with the horrendous weather in the UK which is indeed creating a scene and everyone is totally fed up of it all. You can design your project in whatever context you take the theme as there are many ways of creating a scene!!!

This time we are pleased to welcome Dawn who is our Guest Designer for January and February. I'm sure you will love her work as much as we do.

Lots of love also goes to our DT member Annie who has just had an op and will be out of action for a little while. We all hope that you get on the road to recovery very quickly.

There are some stunning CDs and downloads on the OLL website along with some freebies that you might like to try out. Remember it is not necessary to use OLL products on your card, but we love it when you do.

To join in the challenge, please post your design onto your blog with a link to our challenge and leave us a comment with a link to your work. If you don't have a blog please email your project to the address on the sidebar.

Challenge #41

Good morning one and all! Thanks to those who took part in our last challenge. Another fortnight has passed and I hope you are all getting ready for Christmas. Now, on to this fortnight's challenge which is :

Challenge # 41 - Monochrome

I love using black and white but of course monochrome doesn't only mean that, it means shades of the same colour so, come on girls and boys, get your thinking caps on and let's see your designs for this theme. If you don't have one of the OLL CDs, Wendi has some freebies in the online shop for you to try.

For inspiration, take a look at what our design team have come up with for this theme.

I have decoupaged the Poinsettia and covered it with a glaze and just before it was dry I moved each segment to make it look like cracked glass
