Message from Daisychain
A big thank you to Maisie for pulling my name out of the hat, and a big thank you to you as well. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I can't wait to see the oriental images in real life, and have a play with them

CHALLENGE 24 ~ Paper Folding

First I must apologise for not posting the winner of the blog candy, the winner will be announced tomorrow morning, and secondly thank you to all who joined in last week

This week we would love to see anything that has paper folding included in your creation.

It could be Teabag Folding, perhaps a Bouquet Holder, maybe a Folded Frame, or perhaps you have your own idea's

I have a wonderful book called Susans's Paper Engineering Secrets from Hot of the Press and through out the week I shall add a different fold that I have conquered

To start off with I have used Teabag Folding for these two cards, the christmas tree uses
10 x 2" square
First I punched out 10 squares with a 2" scalloped edge punch

1. Fold the paper into half and then unfold it.

Fold in half the other way and unfold it.
2. Then fold from corner to corner then unfold it. Fold the other two corners together then unfold it.
3. Push together to form this shape

Fold the left hand upper corner to top point and repeat with other side

This is the finished shape

Then slot them altogether

The second card used the same fold

Which I joined together slotting each one into place and then I turned it over to achieve this affect

Here is my card for this week, teabag folding again. Love your Christmas tree, thanks for the tutorial DAISYCHAIN

CHALLENGE 23 ~ ORIENTAL ORIGINS

This week I was inspired by this beautiful pack of cards that I found in a Junk shop in Cognac, I first spotted the box , and on opening it found these gorgeous oriental cards inside

I photocopied 2 cards then printed them onto some Inkjet Artist Canvas bought from Joanna Sheen website
I found a piece of oriental backing paper and photocopied it onto a piece of red card using the black only option, I then tore a piece to size and inked the edges with gold and then mounted it onto a black card, 3 paper flowers and buttons finished it off

Card 2
Backing paper and image
Ooh la la Creations Passion for Fashion CD

Card 3
Pyramid Image
Ooh la la Creations
Floral Extravaganza CD2

And finally an ATC
teamed with a mini waterfall from the Passion for Fashion CD which I resized to fit

I enjoyed making these and hope you will join in with the challenge this week, please leave a link to your creation so we can come and see
And if you do you will be entered into the draw to win this BLOG CANDY which includes

Images from the pack of cards 2 of which are printed on Artist canvas, peel offs, pk Oriental Collage rub ons, ribbons, Oriental coins, gems, buttons, flowers and bows

My 2 favourite pickers Harry & Maisy will draw the name from the hat on monday 17th Nov

Good Luck

Wendi & Emma

Daisychains Gorgeous Card for this weeks challenge, the fan was made by punching out squares and then 'teabag' folding them into kite shapes, a lovely colour combination
